WAEC Releases 2024 WASSCE Results: Check Your Performance Now!

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results. Candidates can now check their performance online.

Key Statistics:

• Total number of candidates: 1,732,835
• Number of candidates who obtained 5 credits (including English and Mathematics): 739,105 (42.7%)
• Number of candidates with outstanding performance: 177,435 (10.2%)
• Number of candidates with excellent performance: 341,987 (19.7%)

Improvement in Performance

WAEC records a 5.3% increase in the number of candidates who obtained 5 credits (including English and Mathematics) compared to the previous year.

Breakdown of Results by Country

• Nigeria: 71.2% pass rate
• Ghana: 74.5% pass rate
• Sierra Leone: 63.2% pass rate
• Liberia: 58.1% pass rate
• The Gambia: 65.4% pass rate

2. Click on “Result Checking”
3. Enter your examination number and PIN
4. View and print your result

Important Dates

• Result verification: June 15 – July 15, 2024
• Certificate collection: August 1 – September 30, 2024
