After a fantastic 2023 Ballon d’Or awards event, some of the top football players in the world flocked to Paris to discover who would take Karim Benzema’s place as the 2022 recipient of the Golden Ball.

Victor Osimhen, who was ranked as the eighth (8) greatest player in the world in the worldwide event hosted in France, was declared the eighth-best player by the event organizers because he received a lot of support from other continents.
As per the information provided by the organizers, Osimhen, the Nigerian striker for Napoli, did not receive a single vote from any journalist or African representative.
