Promoting Lagos Cultural Heritage: NULASS National Visits LASUED

A VISIT TO THE VICE CHANCELLOR, LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, PROFESSOR BIDEMI BILIKIS LAFIAJI-OKUNEYE.

The National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS National) executives, led by President Olufowobi Hafiz, visited Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) management. As Chief of Staff, I accompanied the team to introduce NULASS National, address pressing concerns, and present the EKO AKETE proposal.

The National President presented the EKO AKETE proposal, emphasizing its significance in promoting Lagos cultural heritage among students and youth. I briefed management on NULASS’s objectives, activities, and benefits.

The interactive discussion addressed concerns, fostering mutual understanding. LASUED accepted hosting EKO AKETE, aimed at restoring and embracing Lagos cultural values among students and youth.

The visit marked a significant milestone in NULASS LASUED’s history. EKO AKETE’s acceptance underscores LASUED’s commitment to cultural preservation. This collaboration will enrich students’ experiences and promote Lagos’ rich heritage.
