The Abila-led administration has made history again by organising the first ever events-packed Children’s funfair in Iba Lcda to comemerate 2023 Children’s Day celebration on Saturday, 27th May 2023 held at Local Authority Primary School, Iba.
The Children’s day funfair 1.0 organised by Iba LCDA under the leadership of Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA) witnessed the participation of Primary and Secondary School students within IBA Lcda. The funfair featured games, dance and pageantry which produced the Mr and Miss Iba of Iba LCDA.
The winners of the first Mr and Miss Iba LCDA are Master Umar Yunus from L. A, Iba Primary School and Miss Sowunmi Kehinde from Ijedodo Community Nursery and Primary school, Iba respectively.
Other schools that participated and won in other contests also left the venue with gifts for their various schools and all students present at the 2023 Children day funfair went home with gifts.
The Council Chairman was well represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Thomas Ayodele who chaired the occasion. Other office holders and dignitaries include; Hon. Obanla Ramon (Leader of Iba LCDA Legislative Council), Hon. Adekanbi Taiwo (Secretary to the Local Government), Hon. Oriyomi Sheriff (Chief of Staff to Iba LCDA Council Chairman), Hon. Barr. Adesoji Agbawi (Supervisor for Education Iba LCDA), Prince Adekola Adeyemi Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) representing the Chairman of the party Iba LCDA), Hon. Oyefolu Jamiu, Amb. Comr. Tijani Saheed (Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Iba LCDA), other dignitaries present at the event were: Mr Jimoh Jelili, Council Manager of Iba LCDA, Mrs Buhari Hafsat, Head of Department, Education, and Mr Taiwo Akinlekan representing The Education Secretary of Ojo, Hon. Abiola Kolawole.
