Not less than Eight students of the Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo have become beneficiaries of the Dakiz Human Development and Empowerment Initiative Skills acquisition programme for youths in the State.
In an event to register the beneficiaries after the screening exercise on Friday, June 23, 2023, the beneficiaries who are all students of the Institution began their training in their respective skills acquisition fields with immediate effect.
According to the registration data, seven of the students opted for lucrative frame making skill while only one beneficiary opted for hairdressing skill. The training for those in the field of Frame Making is expected to last for two months while that of Hairdressing will elapse after a year with training scheduled for lecture-free hours and weekends.
The DHDEI skills acquisition empowerment programme for Adeyemi Federal University, Ondo was coordinated by Miss. Ologun Oreofe is a NCE Part III student of the institution and also the CEO of Togah Pixels. She is enrolled in the Dakiz Human Development and Empowerment Initiative since 2022 to learn photography.
This latest development further adds to the number of student beneficiaries of the initiative who have been trained and certified or currently under training to acquire their desired skill across different institutions in Ondo State.
