NAOSS MET WITH THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY, HON. LUCKY ORIMISAN AIYEDATIWA ON BURSARY AND SCHOLARSHIP AND OTHER STUDENTS RELATED ISSUES.

The Leadership Of NAOSS Paid A Courtesy Visit To The Office Of The Deputy Governor Of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa On Tuesday 6th Of September, 2022 To Discuss Sacrosanct Issues That Concerned The Welfarism Of Ondo State Students.

Speaking on behalf of the association, Comrade Ogunga briefly introduced the Rejuvenation Executives to the Deputy Governor and appreciated him for his warm reception.

The leadership of the association Led by Com. Ogunga Mary during the meeting, praised the Governor of the State, His Excellency, Arakunrin Rotimi Odunayo Akeredolu on his giant strides in the education sector and also appeal for the commencement and registration of bursary and scholarship for all Ondo State Students.

She highlighted some of the problems affecting the Students community but stressed on the need to commence registration for Bursary and Scholarship for all Ondo State Students.

The President while commending the face lift/total renovation of primary and secondary schools across the 18 Local governments of the State, she also registered her genuine concerned for unavailability/lack of teachers in the primary and secondary schools and implore the government to look into the issue of age fortification of teachers who are long due for retirement but still in active service as this will hinder the creation of employment.

She further pleaded with the government that the association stakeholders be considered for employment as they are patriots that have in one way or the other contributed to the development and advancement of governance in the state through the association.

Comrade Ogunga as a matter of serious concern, pleaded with the State government to intervene in the ongoing strike and put an end to the strike so that all Students of the State institutions can resume back to their class rooms.

She finally pleaded with the government to provide a permanent secretariat for the smooth running of the association activities, noting that it is becoming embarrassing when compared with other States Students associations with established secretariat.

Comrade Ogunga in her closing remark, appreciated the government for the continuous payment of salaries to lecturers of the State Institutions despite being on strike.

She also lauded Mr Governor’s REDEEMED Agenda, as all Students of the State are assured of a great future even when the Governor’s tenure ends soon.

The president also used the opportunity to reassure the Students that her Administration will always prioritize the Students and their welfarism at all times.

The Ondo State Deputy Governor, appreciated the leadership of NAOSS and assured them that all request will be attended to, and also reiterate that the Arakunrun has being paying bursary to the students and will not fail to do same soon. He offered his fatherly advise for all Ondo State Students to shun bad behaviors and always be the envoy of the state.
