WHY ASSEMBLY SECOND TERM AMBITION CAN’T WORKOUT IN AKOKO NW CONSTITUENCY 2

For some years back now, I have been a loyalist of the present government in Ondo State under the able leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, the governor of Ondo State and Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who is the state chairman of APC in the State where I have spent my sweat and little resources to mobilize people to APC and provide assistance through my pen pushing career to support this administration. I have keyed keenly to their style of leadership in discharging government activities through meaningful and formidable leadership. I will never allow such administration make profane and irreparable mistake because of one inordinate and selfish ambition.
I can categorically tell His Excellency that in Akoko Northwest as a whole, including my immediate ward, Okeirun/Surulere Ward 7, my loyalty records is there for people to attest to on how I worked tirelessly for his (Aketi) re-election into office for second term. I am one of your ardent supporters that stood gallantly behind your second term against all odds to ensure that your second term in office was successful. Today, we are happy that all our immense efforts yielded a good result.
Let me not take your precious time His Excellency sir, the controversy emanated from second term ticket which is about to awarded to Honourable Member who is currently representing Akoko Northwest constituency 2 Hon. Taofik Oladele Mohammed, is already weighing down the confidence and sense of belonging of a lot of party faithful, it will never workout fine as expected sir.
If the information at our disposal that you want to compensate him for his loyalty and support rendered to Your government is true sir. I think there is other way to reward his loyalty not by given him second term. Even though, the honourable member himself knew that the chance of any candidate to win second term in this Constituency is very slim, it is 99 percent obvious that he can’t win but it is just an attempt to make us lose the seat to the major opposition who has picked their assembly candidate from Okeirun/Surulere Ward 7.
Since the inception of democracy in 1999. Akoko Northwest Constituency 2 has been rotating the seat of the state house among the four wards that made-up of the constituency, which are; Okeirun/Surulere Ward 7, Ogbagi Ward 6, Odoirun/Oyinmo Ward 8, and Ese/Afin Ward 9 in which the whole world can attest to this fact.
Let me break it down for a clearer evidence, Late Hon. Osho from Odoirun/Oyinmo Ward 8 started the unabolished rotation arrangement as he represented between 1999 to 2003 but he didn’t make any attempt of second term.
Ogbagi in their first turn, Hon. Bolarinwa Oluwasegunota represented us between 2003 and 2007.
The pendulum swung to Okeirun/Surulere Ward 7 where the present state PDP Chairman in Ondo State in person of Hon. Adams Fatai represented us between 2007 and 2011. Though, he tried to clinch the seat for second term but the rotation arrangement made by our forefathers spoke against his intention. He lost the election.
It shifted to Ese/Afin Ward 9 where Hon. Joseph Aladetimehin represented us between 2011 and 2015. Being a loyal lawmaker to the incumbent government then in the state. Even when they wanted to give him a second term ticket he told his principal that, in his own constituency there is an existing rotation arrangement.
So, it went to Odoirun/Oyinmo Ward 8 and Hon. Olumide Araoyinmo represented us and as a lawmaker that respect the position of his people, he didn’t attempt to seek second term ticket. That was what paved way for the present lawmaker to scale through which everybody believed that his own tenure supposed to end by 2023 in order to allow the next ward, Okeirun/Surulere Ward 7 climb the ladder.
Your Excellency, if it is about loyalist, we have ardent supporter of your government abundantly in Okeirun-surulere Ward 7, We can’t afford to lose this substantial position to opposition who had made such mistake in the past and are much aware of the consequences. That is why I am appealing to the leadership of APC in Ondo State to reverse their decision by giving what belongs to Caesar to Caesar. This is my own candid advise to the party.
I would always make my stand known by calling the attention of Ondo APC to any of their political anomalies within my vicinity capable of plunging our great party into abysmal failure in her future elections.
For public consumption, I wanted to purchase assembly form initially but I am just trying to play safe.
In case Ondo State APC put all the above factors into consideration and now ready to give Okeirun/Surulere Ward 7 what belong to them I am much on ground and ready to obtain my nomination form because the good people of this Constituency still believed in my vision and they are solidly behind my aspiration.
