I am very humbled and grateful to the Almighty God for this feat, which is a part of the numerous historical achievements of the Ilaje people. Permit me to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the electorates of the November 16, 2024, gubernatorial election in Ondo State: your votes were the decisive voice that ushered His Excellency, Hon. Chief Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, into the respectable position of Governor-Elect.

But with perseverance, hard willpower, and the ability to see ahead, he emerged as a hinge in Ondo State politics. As the Yoruba adage goes best, “A pé jéun kìí jé’bàjé” (patience preserves the meal). And his journey is a lesson to all in being purposeful and dogged.

As the Jagunmolu of Ilaje Land, your victory in the governorship polls across all eighteen LGAs of Ondo State is a monumental milestone, which has been a record since the state was carved out. This is something to pride ourselves on.

It is my fervent prayer that the Lord will guide and protect you from all adversities. May your administration bring unprecedented progress, unity, and blessings to Ondo State and its people.
