LASEPA Cracks Down on Environmental Violations in Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken bold action against establishments violating environmental regulations, temporarily shutting down churches, hotels, and a company in the state. This move aims to combat noise pollution and other environmental infractions.

Affected Establishments:

– Churches: Five churches, including St Monica’s Hall of Our Lady of Lord’s Catholic Church, Christ Rock of Fire Ministry, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, God’s Porch Ministries, and an unnamed Catholic Church.

– Hotels: 19 hotels, such as School2bar, Blue Seasons Hotel and Suites, Sulerious Lakeside Hotel, Monero Hotel and Suites, and Lekki Hotel and Suites. 

– Other Establishments: Bars, guest houses, fast food outlets, and a company, all of which persisted in violating LASEPA’s directives despite repeated warnings.
