Funke Akindele suspends acting career for politics

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has said she is putting her acting career on hold as she becomes the running mate to Lagos PDP governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran.

The actress in a video posted on her Instagram page stated that her acting career must be “necessarily put on hold”.

According to her, this was a sacrifice she had to make to “rescue” the people of Lagos State.

Akindele said, “I am not unaware of the cost of this assignment on my vibrant career, which I must now necessarily put on hold.”
