- Avoiding Challenges: Avoidance coping involves trying to avoid stressors rather than dealing with them. Avoiding stress might seem like a great way to become less stressed, but this isn’t necessarily the case. More often than not, confronting a problem or dealing with a stressors is the only way to effectively reduce the stress it causes.
- Blaming Others: Blame is defined as assigning responsibility for a fault or wrong. Blaming others leads to several unhelpful emotions, such as resentment, anger, and hatred. This attitude of believing you are a victim takes you nowhere. - Self-limiting Beliefs: Self-limiting beliefs are the assumptions or perceptions we have about ourselves and the way the world works. These assumptions are “self-limiting” because by holding on to these beliefs, we are in some way holding ourselves back from achieving our goals.
