DHDEI Founder speaks at CCC Youth Organization 26th Annual Retreat in Owo

Grants Free Skills Acquisition to Youths

The Convener of Dakiz Human Development and Empowerment Initiative Mr. Akingbade Toluwa-Jolomi was one of the invited speakers/Facilitators at the Ondo State Celestial Church Church of Christ Youth Organization 26th Annual Youth Retreat.

Akingbade spoke on the theme “Operation Do It Yourself” through which he charged youths that “White Collar Jobs can’t serve all; the need for youths to learn a productive vocational skill.”

The annual retreat which is the 26th edition was hosted by CCC Parish 1, Owo, Ondo State saw Celestial Church Youths from across the 18 Local Government Area of Ondo State in attendance.

After delivering his lecture, Mr. Akingbade charged youths to learn a vocational skills as white collar jobs can no longer serve the unemployed population.

The charged youths reacted instantly with 32 members indicating there readiness to learn a skill. These youths included undergraduates and graduates who are willing to begin their journey in the vocational skill acquisition.

The DHDEI Convener in a bit to motivate the youths instantly approved the the enrollment of 15 of them into the DHDEI Vocational Skills Empowerment Scheme to learn a skill for FREE in Owo, Akungba, Akure, Ondo, Ikare, Okitipupa etc.

The beneficiaries indicated interest in areas such as Web Design, Cake Making, Make Up, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Hairdressing, Aluminum Fabrication, etc.
