The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is once again mired in crisis as Hon Sani Jaji, the federal lawmaker representing Kaura-named-Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency, and his supporters have formed a new faction within the party.
In a press conference held in Gusau, Honourable Aminu Abubakar MC, the chairman of the Sani Jaji-led APC faction, expressed the group’s dissatisfaction with the current party leadership. He accused the leaders of failing to unite party members, attributing the discord to their selfish interests.
“Those calling themselves party leaders have failed to unite the members of the party due to their selfish interests,” Abubakar stated. “We did our best to draw their attention to the dangers of disunity within our great party, but unfortunately, they refused to listen to us.”
The formation of this new faction signals deepening rifts within the Zamfara State APC, raising concerns about the party’s cohesion and future prospects in the region.
