On poverty reduction, Akoko Northwest executive chairmanship aspirant, Prince Jotina Aladesuyi said, “Agriculture is a powerful poverty reduction tool. According to the Word Bank(2010), for every one percent growth in Agriculture, poverty declines by as much as two percent. Given the fact that majority of those who are hungry lives in rural areas and depend on agriculture and natural resources for their livelihood, investing in agriculture is the most efficient way to target those in need.”
