On Wednesday, 3rd May, 2023 at exact 12:25pm The Chairman ably represented by Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo (FCPA) The supervisor for Agriculture, Social Service, Rural and community affairs Lekki Lcda.
The supervisor stated the aims and objectives of the meeting which is “having good relationship and collaboration with the organization within the community” which have been lacking since their existence.
The H.R.M gave a brief history of the company on how long they have been existing in the local government (since 2015) and the coexistence between the company and the Host community and her traditional leaders.
It was stated that some traditional leaders do lobby with the company to employ indigenes of the community. This decision led to an agreement of giving contract to a sourcing firm who will be an indigene of the host community in the Local Government to help in search of labour force for the sake of employment to the organisation.
Some questions which was asked as main issues are listed as follows: on
- Employment
- Vacant positions
- Welfarism of Employees
- CSR
- Salary scales.
The H.R.M (Mr Mike), responded as follows:
Employment: We believe that the majority production staffs known as casual workers are indigenous from Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and were refered to the organization through some sourcing company like RASAYELA and TOLARAM Groups.
Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo (FCPA) then request from him on behalf of the Local Government for many of our indigenes, he accepted to take any CV submitted to him from the Local Government but will be refered through any of the agreed sourcing companies before anything can be done by him but given the assurance of employment.
VACANT POSITIONS: The position of the Supply chain Supervisor is currently vacant for any interested personnel who is qualified and if any indigene meets the criteria, he/she will be considered ahead of non-indigenes.
WELFARISM: Mr Mike proceed to speak on the welfarism of their staff which he said “Is the best” amongst all company around them, free meals are available to all staffs for both shifts and free health care for the staff and family at large with a good life insurance Incase of death occurrence to any member.
Community Social Responsibility (CSR): Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo (FCPA) requested for a cordial relationship between the organization and the Local Council to sponsor some of programs which are done for schools and Aged people of the local government.
Mr Mike then responded that, they have been doing such through the TOLARAM Groups, if any support is needed from the organization, a well detailed proposal should be channelled through the TOLARAM Groups for adequate consideration.
SALARY SCALES: production section which is known as the casual workers, #30,000 basic monthly excluding overtime.
Forklift Drivers, #50,000 upward.
Graduates and others, Negotiable based on field of study.
