15-Year-Old Student Challenges Education Ministry, JAMB, NUC in Court

Chinaemere Opara, a 15-year-old SS2 student, has taken the Federal Ministry of Education, JAMB, and NUC to court over the new admission policy. He claims the policy, which sets a minimum age for university admission, is discriminatory and unconstitutional.

Opara, represented by his father, Mr. Maxwell Opara, filed the suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja. He’s seeking declarations that his rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, and association are being violated. He also wants the policy overturned and an injunction to prevent its enforcement.
